Communications Workers of America Local 7076 and Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Local 351 endorse Tim Keller for Mayor of Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Communications Workers of America Local 7076 and Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Local 351 have endorsed Tim Keller for Mayor of Albuquerque.

“CWA Local 7076 is proud to endorse Tim Keller for Mayor of Albuquerque," said Daniel Secrist, Executive Vice President of CWA Local 7076. "Tim’s tireless efforts to help working New Mexicans and hold government accountable has made him the most logical choice for us, a union representing public sector employees in state government, UNM and CNM. CWA believes that Tim embodies all of the qualities of a good leader and has the required skills to reverse Albuquerque’s economic downturn and reform city government. We have no doubts that Albuquerque will become a better place to live and work when Tim is elected mayor.”

“Tim Keller is willing to stand on the front lines and protect the rights of all workers in Albuquerque, and that is why we think he should be our next mayor” said Earl Reed, Business Manager of BCTGM Local 351. “He has a history of doing what it takes for New Mexico’s working families, and will carry that commitment with him to city hall.”

“It’s an honor to have both of these unions supporting the people-powered movement we are trying to build,” said Keller. “When I look at the current economic situation facing the people of Albuquerque, I am appalled that we are not doing more to help our local businesses expand and create a better quality of life for our families. The time to change that is now.”
