International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 611 endorse Tim Keller for Mayor of Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 611 has endorsed Tim Keller for Mayor of Albuquerque, the union’s business manager announced.

"The reason we are endorsing Tim Keller is simple - he has proven himself as someone who gets things done, which is exactly what you want in a mayor,” said Carl Condit, Business Manager of IBEW Local 611. “Albuquerque's residents deserve a leader who will be dedicated to improving the quality of life in our city, and we believe Tim is the right person for the job."

Keller said he plans to use the city’s current buying power as mayor to put Albuquerque’s businesses first.

“IBEW’s endorsement is a tremendous honor and a vote of confidence in the people-powered movement we are building in our city,” said Keller. “Our local businesses have been facing an uphill battle for far too long, and IBEW members understand that we need to use the resources available to us to create jobs and put our businesses first. I can’t wait to work with them to build a better economy for us all.”

IBEW Local 611 joins the following labor unions in endorsing Keller’s campaign:
  • Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters
  • International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 492
  • Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 412
