The Keller Connector, July 2017

Friend,

We’re less than 100 days from the election and our #blockbyblock movement is in full swing! This month has been busy with phone banks, canvasses, BIG endorsements, and much more!

Thank you for all you do to fuel this people-powered movement!

Tim Keller

Tim Endorsed by AFSCME City Workers!

Thank you to AFSCME Council 18, which represents about 2,000 City of Albuquerque employees and an additional 3,000 workers who live in the city.

“Blue Collar workers ensure that our city parks are clean and safe for our children, that our city busses are running on time, and that our streets are clean. Our members work hard every single day to make our city beautiful and improve the quality of life for all of us. We are honored to endorse Tim Keller for mayor because he shares that same vision and will work hard to make all of us proud to live here,” said Casey Padilla, President of AFSCME Council 18 and Local 624.

Local Firefighters Endorse Tim

Recently, the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 244 endorsed Tim for Mayor of Albuquerque. The President of IAFF Local 244, Diego Arencon, said that with Tim’s “accountability and proven leadership will ensure a safe future for the city of Albuquerque.”

Update from NM’s Nasty Women

In June Nasty Women NM hosted a forum where they were able to hear from each individual candidate. In doing so this group of women was able to hear what Tim stands for and his vision for Albuquerque.

On July 13th Tim officially received their endorsement. They share Tim’s vision for a “more inclusive, economically, just and environmentally sustainable city.”

Mayoral Forum on Early Education

Last week, Tim participated in the Mayoral Forum on Education to discuss how the next mayor can step up to help our kids get ahead. Thanks to OLÉ New Mexico, People for the Kids, Early Educators United, and the Partnership for Community Action for hosting the forum, and all the volunteers who showed up to support Tim and this #blockbyblock movement!
